Apple Announces Apple iPad aka iSlate

Apple Inc CEO Steve Jobs recently introduces their new hi tech Apple iPad (formally named iSlate), a portable computer tablet with an extremely low price to fill the gap between laptop and smartphone.
This device is basically the big brother of Apple iPod crossed with a regular laptop and equipped with features from the smartphone but without the phone. iWorks (Apple's version of Mirosoft Office series) is also installed in this Apple iPad. You can installed even more applications as listed in Apple's App Store.
Apple iPad weighs only 1.5 pounds with a 9.7 inches screen, make it an ultra portable device. The good news is the battery can stand for 10 hours. Eureka..!
This is the leaked information about the device specifications:
- 9.7" LED screen with multi-touch
- 1GHz Apple A4 CPU – low power
- 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB flash drive
- WiFi N
- 3G and phone capabilities (3G model only)
- Ambient light sensor
- Up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music
With this Apple iPad you can browse the web from almost anywhere, download iTunes and read eBooks easily using WiFi as equipped in certain models.
The price for Apple iPad, a touchscreen computer tablet as introduced by Apple on Wednesday (January 27th,2010) will start from USD 499 and this new device will start to ship to the whole world in 60 days, says Apple.
Apple iPad will be available at the end of March all over the world for a retail price of USD 499 for 16GB model, USD 599 for 32GB model and USD 699 for 64GB model according to Apple statement.
And then in April, the Apple iPad + WiFi version will be available in United States and selected countries for a retail price of USD 629 for 16GB + WiFi model, USD 729 for 32GB + WiFi model and USD 829 for 64GB + WiFi model.
